We had the opportunity to volunteer at the Huntsman Cancer Foundation's Gala. We helped out with getting people pre-registered for the silent auction, and then entering in all the final bids for the silent auction. It was a lot of fun, we saw some "Utah famous" people (General authorities, general Relief Society president, Ron Boone, news anchors, Governor Herbert...) . We got to go in at eat at the gala also. Then afterwards, there was a "survivor party". It so much fun. There was tons of food. There was a dessert bar, and a candy bar (a table with tons of different types of candy..not just a candy bar ;)), a shoe auction, a dance floor, a photo booth, and tons of other stuff! We got to go in and experience all of that stuff while we weren't needed to enter in any information! We had to enter the info for the winners of the shoe auction, but that was it. It was a pretty fancy/swanky ordeal and we had so much fun!
Look at all this swag we ended up with! (Well, we paid for the shoes, they were part of the shoe auction). There was a men's and a women's AVON bag, free photo booth pictures, and we got to take home a centerpiece.
We had so much fun, and hope we can keep volunteering with the Huntsman Cancer Foundation.
