Yankee Doodle Dandy

The 4th of July was so much fun! On the 3rd we went to the Kaysville parade. I can't believe how much candy and free stuff they threw out! Each of the kids had a whole grocery sack full of candy and frizbees. Matt's cousin Michelle was all about gathering all the candy, and if they floats were passing out frizbees or something better, she would yell and jump around so they would throw her one....so funny, and SO AWESOME!

Then, we went to Matt's parent's house and had an awesome BBQ. They always set up a "water slide" in the back yard....but I didn't get any pictuers...and what is a 4th of July celebration without fireworks?
We went to the firework stands with Matt's brother and brother-in-law to buy some fireworks.......we found the coolest "daytime" firework called "Afternoon Delight" ;) It is a parachute firework that had like 40 parachutes that shot out of it! The kids loved it!

Matt was lighting the fireworks, so I had to keep warm with a blanket and the other sister-in-laws! We had a good time chatting :)
