Californ-i-a

By the end of the year I should be caught up on summer finally! Here is another late post. In June we went to California with Matt's family...we're talking brothers, sisters, mom, dad, spouses, and KIDS! (The above picture is missing Matt's oldest brother and his family, but it was the biggest group shot I had!) We rented a house near Disneyland for the week. It was a blast! We went to Disneyland 3 of the days, we went to San Diego/Sea World one of the days, the beach another day, and we also saw Lion King (the musical)...by the time we got back we needed another vacation to recover!

When we first got inside the Disneyland gates we needed to go to the "Town Hall" to get a pass for Matt's mom in her wheelchair. We had been there for a minute or two, and out walks Mickey Mouse..headed right for us! The girls lost it and ran right up to him....it remidend me of a Disneyland commercial. Minnie was following right behind, so after the kids got their picture with Mickey we ran over to Minnie. I love Minnie Mouse - she's the original Disney Princess :)

FYI-taking someone to Disneyland with a wheelchair has benefits...there are some rides you can just walk right on! Also, the grandkids get to ride on grandma's lap!

When we went to Disneyland for a day on our honeymoon, we tried eating at the Blue Bayou (the restaurant "in" the Pirates of the Carribean ride), but we hadn't thought of it early enough to get a reservation, so we decided to try it this time. Matt's brother Mark and his wife Kim (and their son Kaden) decided to join us! It was fun, the atmosphere was cool....but it's most likely a one time experience.

We had so much fun at the beach, we wished we had more days there! We tried out the boogy boards and burried Matt in the sand!! It was so nice to just play and relax.

I didn't actually take pictures of all our fun activities, I was having too much fun, so I just didn't get the camera out very often. We had such a fun time with the whole family!
