A Little Bit of Catch-up..before a TON of Catch-up

There are a few things I've been meaning to write about that happened last summer..yeah, it's been a while!  We did Relay for Life again in 2012.  All of the relays in SLC participated in a big kick-off event that they called Dancing with the Salt Lake Stars.  Local radio and tv personalities mostly.  The starts danced with professional dancers and then at the end they went out in to the audience with buckets.  The "star" that got the most money donated won.

We were officially on the committee this year for the Murray Relay for Life.  We spent A LOT of time out getting donations and local companies to come participate.  We were able to get several restaurants to cmoe sell food and then donate part or all of their profits from the night.  We also go lots of donations for silent auction baskets!  We changed the location to Murray Park.  We feel like it was the best one yet!  We had lots of family and friends come to support us.

It felt more exhausting than the other relays we have participated in, but we also had more responsibilities.  It was still fun, but we need a break!  We aren't planning on having a team this year.  We might go to the event for part of the evening this year, but we will also have a brand new baby that we will be learning to take care of.  I think we'll just be playing that one by ear!

Relay took up a good chunk of our summer, but after it was over we went to Wicked!  We invited Matt's grandparents to join us, so we went to dinner with them before the show.  They seemed to really enjoy the show (and the dinner at Blue Lemon!)
