We had such a fun 4th of July! This year I took TONS of pictures so we could document our fun-filled day! We always start out with the Kaysville parade. This parade is awesome! There is soooo much candy and other free stuff!
This parade has tons of veterans in it! We are definitely so grateful to all of those who fight for our freedom and their families.
The Taco Bell float throws beads! Tons and tons of them!
After the "Patriotic" parade, there is a "Water" parade! There is a part of the parade route set apart as the "wet zone". They bring down floats with people spraying water guns at the crowd, the big water spraying trucks that they use in constructions, and this year there was a dump truck filled with water and people with buckets throwing the water out! The crowd brings their water guns and huge buckets of water to fill them up with and they spray the people in the parade, and pretty much anyone around them! It's a lot of fun.
Everyone was pretty much worn out after this, so we all went home to take a break. Then we met up at our house to go swimming and have a BBQ!
Our nephew's birthday is July 3rd, so we celebrated his birthday with him! They made a soccer ball pinata...how brilliant! The kids kicked the pinata to get the candy out!
(P.S. Matt & I got engaged the same day Landon was born!)
Then we did sparklers with the kids....because we had some in our cupboard from a year or two ago....
After these festivities we all went to firework shows. Some of us went to friends houses and some of us went up to Sugarhouse to see the fireworks at the park. Of course I forgot to take my camera..because I had done so good all day! So here is a crappy quality photo from my phone of Matt's sister, her husband, and one of their boys enjoying the fireworks! Matt's brother is in the background. I kind of love this picture!
